How to Use the Charitable Giving Calculator

Follow these steps to calculate your charitable giving amounts.

    Choose annual salary or hourly rate. If hourly, enter your rate and average hours per week.

    Select gross or net basis

    Choose whether to calculate giving as a percentage of gross income (before taxes) or net income (after taxes).

    Set your giving percentage

    Use the slider or type a percentage. The default is 10%, but you can set any amount from 1% to 50%.

    Choose your giving frequency

    Select how often you plan to give: weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly, or annually.

    Add a pledge (optional)

    If you have a recurring pledge to a specific organization, enter that per-period amount to include it in your total.
