What is a Ideal Weight Calculator?
An ideal weight calculator estimates the weight range considered healthy for a person of a given height and sex. This calculator uses four medically recognized formulas — Robinson (1983), Miller (1983), Devine (1974), and Hamwi (1964) — and displays the average, giving a more balanced estimate than any single formula.
These formulas were originally developed for clinical use in determining medication dosages and are not intended as strict weight targets. They represent population averages and do not account for individual variation in muscle mass, bone density, or body frame size.
A complementary approach is to use the healthy BMI range (18.5–24.9) to calculate a healthy weight range for your height. This is shown alongside the formula-based ideal weight for comparison.

Remember that ideal weight formulas are estimates. Body composition, fitness level, and overall health are more important than a specific number on the scale.
